Sadly, the end of the Blighty chapter was upon us. Not quite deported even though the antics of 2 young men has tried our patience at times. Fortunately the 2 enfant terribles did not come to notice by the varying authorities we packed and zipped the bags and headed for St Pancras International - London
In keeping with the variation of the theme of trying to leave the UK other than by aeroplane (remember the 2011 trip where we sailed away, sailed away, sailed away on the Queen Mary II) we pre-planned 3 months in advance a trip on the Eurostar. It was time to brush up on our French and cross the border
Eurostar - The service is operated by eighteen-coach Class 373/1 trains which run at up to 300 kms per hour (186 mph) on a network of high-speed lines
The trains traverse the Channel Tunnel between the UK and France. They are owned and operated separately by Eurotunnel
The trip took 2 hours and 25 minutes. The tunnel section took 20 minutes
Our Voiture - 17
fermer la porte
Wizzing by it was all a blur. Darkened skies and light rain in the French countryside
That's an attractive shot. Mouth full of lunch. At least the bouche was shut!
Arrival at Gare du Nord - Paris
Purchasing billets for the RER (railway) for our trip to Aeroport Charles de Gaulle
