WICKED WEDNESDAY - 15 January 2014

Down to London and across to Victoria to see a performance of Wicked at The Apollo Victoria.

In a nutshell Wicked is a musical and is told from the perspective of the witches of the Land of Oz.  For all you fans of the classic Hollywood film of 1939 and the performance of Judy Garland and friends you'd love this.  The plot begins before and continues after Dorothy's arrival in Oz from Kansas (remember that nasty twister that rendered her unconscious?) and includes several references to the film and the original novel which was written in L. Frank Baum's 1900 classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

I know it's been running now for 10 years but it's better late than never!

Matinee performance.  Our tickets were in the middle of the Stalls and you couldn't ask for better seats at 17 quid each

Other than no pictures during the performance this is a snap of the stage just before lights out

These viewing glasses were previously free of charge but of course things never stay the same forever now 1 quid for the privilege

Post show, the travelling band were met by Sarah's cousin for a quick snap under lights which bathed us in green.  Off for a bite to eat at The Willow Walk an English pub just down the street.

What does the Fox say?  Hamish is living in this shirt which we got from Primark in Birmingham
