POPPING OUT TO THE LOCAL PUB FOR DINNER - Saturday 11 January 2014

In a little village somewhere in Warwickshire a party of 6 put on their coats and walked down to the local pub for dinner.  The venue is The Harvester and we all had a lovely dinner and enjoyable evening

A cool night indeed but a warm atmosphere, a pint of the local best and the special on the menu Hunter's Chicken a la The Harvester

Hamish, dressed for dinner wearing a familiar item of clothing

Some interesting local produce.  Look out for these at your next church fete!!

So that's where Brussel Sprouts come from!  Brussels are always nicer when from the colder regions

Don't mind the old red cabbage, but I'll be sure to give Betty Swollock's brew a try, perhaps with the next Ploughman's

Later that night as we were preparing to drive back to our digs a frost appeared

As we were driving back the temperature indicator said 1C (note dash) and the amber ice indicator came on.  The temperature then went to 0C and the red ice indicator came on.  Interestingly enough comparing temperatures between where we were and in Perth overnight was 0C versus 29C.
